According to Melvin who is now a Nollywood actor, he didn't want to be intimate with any of the women in the Big Brother house because he was looking for something more permanent than a fling or a long distance relationship.

2013 Big Brother Africa: The Chase contestant Melvin Oduah in an exclusive interview with Pulse TV revealed why he was not intimate with any of the female contestants in the TV reality show.

"I have been in a long distance relationship before, it didn't really work out properly. So I went into that house with the mindset that 'men if I go into any relationship now' 'cos then I was single, I am still single- I told myself if I am going to be with anybody now it has to be somebody I can settle down with" said Melvin Oduah.

"I was aware coming into this house I was going to be with different people from different parts of Africa. So if you are going to be involved with anybody in this house, it's going to be a long distance relationship. Lagos to Abuja is long enough talk less of Lagos to South Africa" Melvin told Pulse TV. "I went there with that mindset that I am not coming here to find my missing rib."

"It just didn't click for me. I didn't end up falling in love. Yeah it's only normal" admitted the movie actor. He however said he felt lust for some of the female contestants but he had to control his desire.
