Former 007 thinks "Spectre" is a "weak bond film"

Have you seen the latest Bond movie "Spectre?" What are your thoughts? Pierce Brosnan thinks it's a "weak bond film."

Pierce Brosnan starred as the British spy from 1995 to 2002

Pierce Brosnan, who starred as 007 from 1995 to 2002, has  criticized the latest Bond film "Spectre," but praised Daniel Craig's James Bond.

Speaking to Hitflix, the actor who played Bond in four films before handing over to Craig said;

“I was looking forward to it enormously. I thought it was too long. The story was kind of weak — it could have been condensed. It kind of went on too long. It really did."

Comparing the movie to the Bourne series, he said;

"It's neither fish nor fowl. It’s neither Bond nor Bourne. Am I in a Bond movie? Not in a Bond movie?"

Brosnan however praised Daniel Craig, saying;

"He’s a mighty warrior, and I think he found a great sense of himself in this one with the one-liners and a nice playfulness there. Just get a tighter story, and he’ll have another classic.”

"Spectre" has topped the box office two weeks in a row since its debut on November 6, 2015.

The movie also recently emerged the biggest opening of all time in UK box office history, bringing in  $63.8 million in its first seven days of release.

The UK biggest opening record was previously held by 'Harry Potter' and 'Prisoner of Azkaban', which opened  to £23.8 million.

'Skyfall' held the previous record for the highest seven-day gross in UK box office history.
