Leonardo DiCaprio finally won his first Oscar award, and even his acceptance speech deserves an award. Watch video below.
The actor won the award for his role in the 2015 American historical drama film, "The Revenant" which is directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
DiCaprio bested the likes of Matt Damon (The Martian), Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs), Eddie Redmayne (The Danish Girl) and Bryan Cranston (Trumbo) for the honor.
Following an expected applause that came with his win, DiCaprio thanked his fellow nominees, the cast and crew of "The Revenant," saying, "I don't take this night for granted."
Earlier during the awards ceremony, the director of "The Revenant" said "Leo, you are The Revenant. Thank you for your soul, your art, your life."

The films stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Hugh Glass, a trapper seeking revenge for the murder of his son. It also earned him his fifth Oscar nomination as an actor.
DiCaprio's made his film debut in the comedic sci-fi horror film "Critters 3," which starred him as the stepson of an evil landlord.
