Actress was considered "too old" to play Leonardo DiCaprio's wife in 'Wolf of Wall Street'

Then 22-year-old Maggot Robbie was chosen for the role after the then 28-year-old Olivia Wilde was considered old.

"Tron Legacy" actress, undefinedwas recently a guest on the Show on Tuesday, where she visited  to promote her upcoming series "Vinyl."

The 32-year-old revealed that she didn’t have to audition for her upcoming series "Vinyl,"  which has Martin Scorsese as an executive producer, because she had already auditioned for his 2013 film "The Wolf of Wall Street. “

She made this revelation after Stern asked if she had ever missed out on a role for being too beautiful.

"No, I don't think so,"  she said. "The funniest thing I heard recently was that I was too sophisticated. And I was like, Oh, that sounds nice. I like that feedback. I didn't get the part, but I'm a very sophisticated person.

And then I found out later that they actually said "old." I want to make a translation sheet for Hollywood that's all the feedback your agents give you and what it really means .

I did not [have to audition for Vinyl], because I had auditioned unsuccessfully for Wolf of Wall Street — that's the one I was too old for," the Tron actress added.

Wilde, who was then 28, auditioned for the role of Naomi Lapaglia, Jordan Belfort's wife in Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street," but lost to then 22-year-old Maggot Robbie.

Following the interview, the actress took to Twitter to explain her point about not being cast in "Wolf of Wall Street."

Wilde is popular for her role in "Rush," "Tron Legacy," "The Lazarus Effect," "The Longest Week" among others.
