"The Wedding Party," "76" win audience choice award

"The Wedding Party" and "76" jointly won the Audience Choice Award at the fifth edition of the NollywoodWeek Paris Film Festival.

The film festival which kicked off on Thursday, May 11, came to an end on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Cinema l’Arlequin in Paris, France.

The awards were received by the director of the historical drama, Izu Ojukwu, and Moses Babatope for "The Wedding Party."

Both movies beat "Dinner," "Green White Green," "Gidi Blues" and "Catch.er" to win the prestigious People’s Choice Award.

The prize was won in 2016 by Omoni Oboli's "The First Lady."

Past winners of the award include "The Figurine," "The Meeting," and "Dazzling Mirage.
