The drama continues! Watch episode one

Season four of the highly anticipated series returns with even more drama.

"MTV Shuga" 4 is finally here! After much anticipation, the newest season of the drama series about sex and relationships is on again.

The last season of the series which was set in Nigeria ended on a suspense-filled note with Sophie getting shot, Malaika leaving Nii and Princess finding out she’s HIV positive.

The new season filmed in Lagos sees some of the major characters returning to screen. These include Nick Mutuma (Leo), Emmanuel Ikubese (Femi), Dorcas Shola Fapson (Sophie), Sharon Ezeamaka (Princess), Chris Attoh (Nii), Timini Egbuson (Tobi) and Olumide Oworu (Weki).

As with the usual Shuga series style, new storylines have been added as well as new cast members including: Adesua Etomi (Sheila), Peace Hyde (Eniola), Zoe Favour (Mary), Jemima Osunde (Leila), Tunbosun Mohau Mokoatle (Bongi), “Tuby” Aiyedehin (Sheila’s mum), Jude Chukwuka (Sheila’s dad), Kate Adepegba (Sheila’s aunt), Paul Adams (Sheila’s uncle), Ifeanyi Dike Jr (Sheila’s brother), Najite Dede (Mary’s mum) and Olakunle Dada (Mary’s dad).

The world premiere of MTV Shuga (series IV) was held on September 10, 2015 with the Nigerian debut hosted that same day at the Silverbird Galleria.

The new season’s theme song titled ‘Catch me’ is a joint collaborative effort from Ice Prince, Patoranking and Reminisce.
