"Game of Thrones" star faced greatest fear to film "Battle of Bastards"

"Battle of Bastards" director exploited Kit Harrington's worst fear in life while filming the epic "Battle of Bastards" episode.

The "Game of Thrones" character Jon Snow, can be called a superhero after he won the epic battle in "Battle of Bastards," sending Ramsay Bolton to his end.

During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, director of the episode, Miguel Sapochnik, revealed that he took advantage of Kit Harrington's worst fears while filming the scene in which Snow was trapped under a pile of bodies.

“Kit had mentioned to me that his worst fear is being buried alive,” he said. “So I exploited that to its fullest — and being the amazing game player that he is, he let me.”

On working with Harrignton, Aapochnik said, “I’ve been lucky enough to do two major sequences with him and he’s not only really really good at what he does, but he’s got humility, a sense of humor and a work ethic that is like a breath of fresh air for a director. I wish I could work with him on everything.”

In the ninth episode, Snow fought Ramsay Bolton to reclaim Winterfell, alongside his sister, Sansa Stark.

After Bolton was beaten, pounded and grounded by Snow, he was left for Sansa to get her revenge. Sansa ended his life by releasing his own starved hounds on him. His dogs ate him up, starting with his face.
