Faithia Balogun releases movie

Faithia Balogun's "Iya Alake" which won the best Indigenous movie award at the 2015 AMVCAs is currently on sale at various video outlets nationwide.

Faithia Balogun Williams has released her award winning comedy film "Iya Alake," which won the "best indigenous movie" award at the 2015 African Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

The movie which was released on November 30 is  currently on sale at various video outlets nationwide.

Also starring Femi Adebayo, Muyiwa Ademola, Afonja Olaniyi, Razak Olayiwola, Adekola Tijani among others, the movie stars Balogun as Iya Alalake, the leader of a band named Senwele.

The movie stars Afonja and Adebayo as dancers in the group, and Ademola as the band manager called Tia.

"Iya Alalake" was Balogun's first comedy film. The actress has also produced movies like "Aje Meta," and "Awawu."
