iROKO TV series gets pirated, hits streets of Sierra Leone

The recently premiered series, "Husbands of Lagos," is currently being sold on the streets of Sierra Leone.

On December 1, 2015, premiered on undefined during the platfform's 4th year anniversary.

Recently, a source sent Pulse Nigeria photos of pirated copies of show, currently sold on streets of Freetown, Sierra Leone.

According to the source, he bought a copy of the pirated DVD while in traffic.

Pulse immediately reached out to Mary Njoku, the CEO of ROK studios, who is yet to respond. Also, attempts to reach the company behind the distribution in Freetown is yet to be a successful one.

The issue of piracy has been a major issue in the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood. The recent piracy of "Husbands of Lagos" proves that pirated copies of Nollywood content are not only sold in Nigeria, but also finds its way across other African countriies.

"Husbands of Lagos" tells the story of five men living in Lagos, and the women in their lives, and stars undefinedundefined Kenneth Okolie, Uche Odoputa, Rich Tanksley, Mary Remmy Njoku, Susan Peters, undefinedYvonne Jegede, Ovire Peggy among others.
