Stage drama set to entertain fans this festive season

Joke Silva, Bimbo Akintola, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Ufuoma McDermott, Elvina Ibru and more are set to 'talk true' on stage this December in the entertaining drama "HEAR WORD!".

The popular stage drama 'Hear Word' is set to hit the Muson Centre stage once again, this December.  Opening on December 24, 2015, the play will run through to December 27.

The 2015 edition of the inspiring show stars Joke Silva, Taiwo Ajai­-Lycett, Bimbo Akintola, Omonor, Elvina Ibru, Deborah Ohiri, Zara Udofia, Rita Edward, Ufuoma McDermott and Odenike.

"HEAR WORD!" is an exhilarating piece of performance art that combines artistry, social commentary and true-life stories of inequality and transformation.

The show which kicked off the new season in November with a special performance at the Society For Performing Arts of Nigeria’s SPANFEST, will conclude with performances from  December 24 to 27 at 2pm and the 7pm.

The stories are based on real life experiences and targets real issues affecting the lives of women, which limit their potential for achievement, independence, decision-making and leadership.

The production is directed and produced by Ifeoma Fafunwa.

“I am so humbled and inspired by the gift of HEAR WORD! ­ the amazingly actresses who were on­board without hesitation and who just keep gifting, the audience response and the inspiring support from our sponsors" Fafunwa said.

"The stories featured in HEAR WORD! are based on everyday realities for Nigerian women. It is our hope that by lending our voices to theirs, that we can amplify their reach and begin to transform realities”.

The cast undefinedof the upcoming drama in April, at the Oshodi market, Lagos State.

Venue for event is Muson Centre, Onikan, Opposite City Mall by Race Course, Lagos. Tickets are available at Jumia, Afritickets, Terra Kulture and Jazzhole.
