Sony has officially announced a sequel to the Denzel Washington thriller 'The Equalizer.'

Sony has announced that their highest-rated test screening for any R-rated movie, 'Equalizer' will be getting a sequel.

They announced the project by debuting the logo.

60-year-old Denzel Washington will be reprising his role as Robert McCall, and Chloe Grace Moretz as Teri.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua,the hit movie starred Denzel WashingtonMartin CsokasChloe Moretz and Haley Bennett.

The first film followed Robert McCall (Denzel Washington), a man of mysterious origin who believes he has put the past behind him, dedicates himself to creating a quiet new life. However, when he meets Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), a teenager who has been manhandled by violent Russian mobsters, he simply cannot walk away.
