There has been a lot of debate on social media on whether Nollywood movie "Fifty" really grossed over N400M on return investment. Here's what Emmanuel Ikubese has to say.

In an interview with Encomium Weekly, Ikubese spoke on how true the report is.
"It is very true. "Fifty" is one of the movies that have been showing since December till now. How many Nigerian movies stay in the cinemas till that time. It is grossing big time," he said.
I'm happy that it's a Nigerian movie. That is why I said it's not all about me and what I did. It's about bringing life to the movie, which every actor in "Fifty" did. I'm glad it's getting its reward."

The success of the movie has spawned a television series as the movie executives announced that they will extend the movie’s success onto the small screen. The TV show will continue the premise that the movie set up – a week in the lives of 4 African Women approaching the golden age of ‘Fifty’.
Details of whether the lead characters will reprise their film roles will be revealed in due course. Season 1 of FIFTY: The TV Series is set for production in Q4 2016, writing has already commenced.
