Stephanie Linus' directorial debut gets cinema release date

After a long wait, Stephanie Linus' anticipated movie 'Dry,' which focuses on child marriage, is finding its way to Nigerian cinemas, and actress says fans 'will not be disappointed.'

The movie 'Dry' is one of the most anticipated movies of the year, and it just got an official cinema debut date.

According to Stephanie Linus, who produced and made her directorial debut with movie, 'Dry' debuts in Nigerian cinemas on August 14.

'Dry' is one movie which journeys into heart-wrenching details of a culture not too many films dare to explore.

Inspired by the true story of a young girl named Aisha, the movie features Darwin Shaw as Dr. Alex, the legendary Liz Benson Ameye as the Matron and Bill McNamara as Dr. Brown.

'Dry' also Introduces Zubaida Ibrahim as Halima, the teenager who had to endure a life not designed for a child: to be married to a man who was more than four times her age.

Stephanie took to to her official Instagram page to make the announcement with the caption;

"Hi everyone get ready!!! Dry will be hitting your screens August 14th,2015. For those of you who want to see my latest work, well get ready to see Dry and you will not be disappointed.."

Stephanie recently won her first film award for 'Dry' at the Geena Davis and ARC Entertainment’s inaugural Bentonville Film Festival (BFF) in Arkansas, USA.
