“We always knew that there was a need for capacity building in storytelling but it was nonetheless intriguing to see that the workshop was three times oversubscribed", said founder and lead facilitator Chris Ihidero.
"I think we are on to something here and it will be a real pleasure to engage these participants over the course of the next three days”, he added.
‘Story Story’ seeks to train attendants in story telling.
The free master class begins on Tuesday October 27, 2015 and ends on Thursday, October 29. The workshop held in partnership with the British Council, True Nollywood Stories and X3M Ideas will hold at the British Council office in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The selected participants are from several creative industries including blogging, filmmaking, media, poetry, photography, public relations, writing, and marketing.
This is the inaugural edition of Ihidero’s workshop. According to the filmmaker there are plans to take it across Nigeria.
The ‘Story story’ masterclass will feature a faculty of creative professionals including PR expert, Ayeni Adekunle Samuel, producer, Emmanuel Uduma, journalist Jahman Anikulapo, TV producer, Nkiru Njoku, advertising guru, Steve Babaeko, producer Tope Oshin and award-winning writer Toni Kan. These professionals will be narrating realities in storytelling.
