During an interview with Pulse Nigeria, Bassey who had admitted to having a girlfriend outside the house said sucking CocoIce's boobs didn't feel like cheating on his girlfriend. According to him, it was all for the show.
"No, I didn't feel like I was cheating on my girlfriend. I won't do anything if I didn't want to," Bassey said.
"That was the spur of the moment and we were playing truth or dare, and that was a moment everyone came out of their hiding and tried to express themselves."

"I wouldn't want to be a killjoy or the party crasher, so I had to do what I had to do. But, no regrets. CocoIce is a very beautiful lady and I appreciate her, and that was just for Big Brother Naija.

"The bad girl Coco, the naughty girl Coco came out during the truth or dare, and it wasn't more than that. Because, even the next day when I woke up, I didn't think anything of it," she said.
