Abraham Attah, the 14-year old Ghanaian has won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best New Actor or Actress at the 2015 Venice Film Festival for his role in the Netflix produced movie starring Idris Elba.

[He had] zero film experience, little education…but he became a somewhat professional actor, which was astounding to watch" said Cary Fukunaga who adopted the story for screen at the Tribeca Film Festival.
The movie Beasts of No Nation is adapted from the book of the same name written by Nigerian author Uzodinma Iweala’s.
The movie will be released on Friday, October 16, 2015, on Netflix, and in select USA theatres.
Netflix is hoping that 'Beast Of No Nation' will be nominated at the Oscars.
