Rapper releases new mixtape 'For People With Short Attention Spans' - listen

Aina More is proud to debut her long awaited new EP in which displays different aspects of her craft.

British female Hip-hop artist and 'The Big Music Project' winner Aina More is proud to debut her long awaited new EP titled 'For People With Short Attention Spans' (FPWSAS) following on the back of the critical acclaim of her last single ‘5th Seven’.

Including previously released fan favourites ‘Layback’, which won her this year’s The Big Music Project as presented by Capital FM and the BRIT Awards, and ‘Hustler’ which landed her a support slot for Professor Green on the London leg of his latest UK nationwide tour, the 10-track 'For People With Short Attention Spans' EP features Aina More at her best and most mature yet, and sees her taking the driver seat from start to end, keeping guest appearances to the bare minimum.

From the EP’s introduction ‘FPWSAS (Intro)’, where she lays down the gauntlet and sets the tone for the rest of EP, with its unconventional arrangement, provocative nature and direct address to listeners, to ‘Work Rate’ which was inspired by the hustle of Lagos, one the busiest cities in the world, and sees her paying special homage to the work rate of women, Aina More stands tall throughout this record, showcasing her lyrical prowess, confident flow and knack for crafting great songs.

Aina More is also not afraid to show a vulnerable, delicate and ethereal side to her craft on 'For People With Short Attention Spans', as she sings her heart out about looking for a deeper, spiritual and intellectual connection on ‘Sure Enough’, while on ‘Light’, she takes the listener from zero to euphoria in just over three minutes, entering into what she describes as another realm of endless possibilities, explaining that, “so many things can do this, love, spirituality, drugs – what’s your pick?”.

Describing the inspiration for this EP, Aina More suggest that, “we live in a generation where so much is happening around us, it’s hard to focus on one thing for too long. We are people with short attention spans, this generation is easily distracted. People are constantly trying to wave new things at us, be it advertisement, music, images, we get hit with millions of thoughts constantly, throughout our days…”

The London native continues about 'For People With Short Attention Spans', “how do you decide which ones to focus on? ‘For People With Short Attention Spans’ caters to people who want to feel and be stimulated by different things, but in this case, I’m giving you different dimensions of soul and sounds, there are ups and downs – much like life”.”
