More people want The Rock to run for president in 2020

He has said in the past that politics isn't out of the question.

It’s a man we all love, a man of integrity, a man with some serious strength, a man who would get out of a speeding vehicle and push a live torpedo with his bare hands to save someone’s life.

We’re talking about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. (Check out his ultimate work out here.)

Varietycaught up with documentary filmmaker to talk politics, and the interviewer brought up the possibility of The Rock running for the highest form of office. Moore’s praise couldn’t have been higher: “Run the Rock! Run the Rock. Who do you want for commander in chief? I want the f*cking Rock! It would scare anybody that would hurt us. Think about how safe we would be if the Rock was president. Not Vin Diesel! The Rock. Or Liam Neeson, but Liam Neeson can’t run because our constitution says you have to be born here. So who’s the American Liam Neeson that we could run? Because nobody would f*ck with him.”

That’s the kind of endorsement that gets the people going. It’s also the type of endorsement that may upset Vin Diesel, who’s already had enough to feud about with his Fast and Furious co-star. (If you need to get caught up on their war of words, click here.)

If this sounds too crazy, Moore does have a somewhat legitimate rationale: “Democrats always shy away from Hollywood,” he said. “And I always say to them, ‘Really? Because out where I live, people love Hollywood!’ … The Republicans run Reagan, they run Schwarzenegger. Gopher from “The Love Boat” was elected to Congress in Iowa. They run Sonny Bono. Why don’t the Democrats run somebody that people love?”
