The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has approached a Federal High Court in Lagos, seeking to freeze assets of ex-militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo.

Tompolo was declared wanted last week after two bench warrants issued against him by the court where he has been charged with alleged fraud.

According to the, the Commission filed a motion to that effect today, February 18, 2016.

EFCC had alleged that Tompolo and nine others diverted converted N49 billion belonging to the Nigerian Maritime Administration and safety Agency (NIMASA).
