The lawmakers on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, passed a resolution mandating Ali to appear before it on Thursday, March 16, 2017.

According to Daily Trust, the NCS boss failed to honour the Senate’s summon on Wednesday.

Senators had summoned Ali to appear before it in uniform, following his agency’s plan to seize vehicles over non-payment of duty.

The NCS boss however said he was not going to wear the Customs uniform, adding that he was not appointed for that purpose.
