Adeyeye also said that it would be impossible to remove Senate President, Bukola Saraki due to the support he enjoys in the legislative chamber.

“I am a principal officer of the current senate. The rules that we have now are different from the one we had in the 7th National Assembly,” he said on Sunday, June 26, 2016, during an appearance on Channels TV.

“There is no question about that. Let the court decide whether it was forged or not. The senate rule was altered. Nobody can deny that.

“The main alteration in the senate order is that in the 7th National Assembly, voting had to be done publicly. In this current one, it was done privately. There are other things. I don't want to get into it because the case is in court. It is not fair for me to do that,” he added.

Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremaduappeared in court today, June 27, to face trial after it was alleged that they altered the 2015 standing rules.
