Another senator backs out of 'Vote of confidence' list

According to a handwiritten public notice, Nakubu said he was not aware his name was being put on the list.

 

Senator Mohammed Nakubu ‪from ‪Jigawa, one of the 83 senator who passed 'Vote Of Confidence' on the Senate President Bukola Saraki has distanced from the list.

According to a handwritten public notice, Nakubu said he was not aware his name was being put on the list.

The statement read, "This is to inform the general public that I senator.

Saba Nakubu, Jigawa South West, a member of the 8th senate was not consulted before my name was included in the list of members who signed vote of confidence for the sent leadership.

I want to assure my constituents that I am a loyal party man and remain committed to our great party."

It would be recalled that 84 senators had initially thrown their weight behind the senate leader, but the Chairman, Senate Committee on Business and Rules, Babajide Omowarare (APC- Osun East) backed out - leaving the number at 83.
