A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has struck out a suit seeking the removal of Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his Deputy, Ike Ekweremadu over allegations that the Senate Standing Orders 2015, which led to their appointment, was forged.

The plaintiffs said that they had decided to withdraw the matter due to the fact that the essence of the suit had been overtaken by events.

The matter was struck out on Monday, August 31, 2015, after the plaintiffs, Senators Abu Ibrahim, Kabir Marafa, Ajayi Boroffice, Olugbenga Ashafa and Suleiman Hunkuni, applied to withdraw the suit.
The suit was subsequently struck out by presiding judge, Justice Ademola Adeniyi.
