Royal father is dead

The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade reportedly died after he lost consciousness, and his corpse has been moved to the morgue.

The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade has died at the age of 101 years, reports say.

According to The Nation Newspapers, died after he lost consciousness, and his corpse has been moved to the morgue.

The  Personal Assistant to the late royal father, Chief Isiaka Akinpelu has reportedly denied the death, saying the monarch is alive and well.

Punch also reports that the son of the royal father, Prof. Femi Lana was called immediately the news of the death of the Olubadan broke.

A source who spoke to Punch  said “I can tell you that Prof. Femi Lana and some high chiefs have taken the corpse to the mortuary but I will not tell you the name of the hospital because his death has not been formally announced."

The council of chiefs have been at Loggerhead with the Oyo state government over the over the promotion of nine high chiefs.

Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade who was born on April 14, 1914, ascended the throne as the 39th Olubadan of Ibadan in July 2007.
