Police arrest trailer driver, identify 3 victims

The 40-feet container carrying building materials, iron doors and cement fell off a bridge and crushed two vehicles in the Ojuelegba area of the state.

The police in Lagos State have arrested the driver of a trailer from which a container fell on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, killing three people.

The arrest was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer for the state, Patricia Amadin.

She said:

“The driver has been arrested and is in custody. But the survivor, whose statement is vital, is yet to show up at the station to write a report.”

Meanwhile the three victims have been identified as Abubakar Suleiman, Kamilu Umar and Umaru Suleiman.

One man, Lasisi Akeem, survived the incident.
