The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken the former governors of Imo and Adamawa States, Ikedi Ohakim and Murtala Nyako into custody.
EFCC arrests ex-governors
This was revealed via a statement released on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, by the anti-graft body on Facebook.

Nyako’s son, Abdulazeez was also arrested by EFCC operatives on Tuesday, July 7, 2015.
It reads:
“The former governors of Imo and Adamawa States Ikedi Ohakim and Murtala Nyako are likely to be arraigned today Wednesday 8/7/15 by the EFCC before a Federal High Court in Abuja.”
“The duo, including Abdulazeez, son of Murtala Nyako, were taken into custody July 7, preparatory to their arraignment.”
EFCC officials had earlier also arrested former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido and his two sons over money laundering allegations.
