The army has also warned applicants to ignore any fraudulent practices relating to the recruitment and has advised against the use of agents of any kind.
Below are 10 things you should know about the Nigerian Army recruitment process:
1. The official recruitment website of the Nigerian Army is www.recruitment.army.mil.ng
2. Applicants must register with a valid email address and complete an online application form which must be printed and attested.
3. All Applicants must attend the zonal screening exercise at the designated zonal centres for their respective states and must submit all duly completed forms at the screening centres during the screening exercise period.
4. Applicants shall be of Nigerian origin by birth.
5. Non-Tradesmen & Women Applicants must be aged between 18 – 22 years by July 2016.
6. Tradesmen & Women Applicants must be aged between 18 – 26 years by July 2016.
7. Non Tradesmen/Women applicants must possess a minimum of 4 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB. One of the credits must be in English.
8. Tradesmen & Women Applicants must possess a minimum of 4 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB. One of the credits must be in English.

9. Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit and must not be less than 1.65 meters tall for male and 1.56 meters for female.
10. Applicants must be free of any criminal conviction.
