6 killed as crisis erupts over tribunal judgment

Confirming the incident, the state chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Alhaji Hassan Ardo claimed the state police commissioner is yet to do anything about the incident despite notifying him.

 

Following the declaration of Hajiya , about six persons have been reported dead.

According to a report by Daily Trust, two of the individuals that lost their lives are two boys, who were allegedly killed when armed men suspected to be Jukun armed militia attacked residents in Wukari area of Jalingo, the Taraba state capital.

The killings which occurred in the wee hours of Sunday, November 8, 2015 happened hours after Gov.

Sources in Taraba claimed the attackers invaded the neighbourhood firing and burning houses with no help from security agents even though they sent distress calls to soldiers and other security agencies in the town.

Confirming the incident, the state chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Alhaji Hassan Ardo claimed the state police commissioner is yet to do anything about the incident despite notifying him.

He alleged that reports he received from Wukari revealed that there were fake soldiers in the area klling people.

The police is yet to give an official statement on the allegations.
