The fuel dump, which had 33,000 litres capacity, was inaugurated by the Speaker of the Kwara House of assembly, Dr Ali Ahmad, at the college premises on Friday.

He commended the management for recording a remarkable development since the creation of the college in 2012.

He said training Nigerians for pilots abroad was not adding value to the nation’s economy.

The availability of a fuel dump at the college, the speaker said, would aid early completion of training of pilots.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the college, Capt. Edward Boyoh, said the college which began with two aircrafts in 2012 could now boast of five aircrafts

The Rector of the college, Capt. AbdulMumeen AbdulKareem, said the college established the fuel dump to arrest persistent scarcity of Aviation fuel in the country.

He said the fuel dump with 23,000 capacity would serve the aircrafts and Helicopters of the college for over two months.
