Herdsmen kill 6 farmers, behead Okada rider
It was gathered that six farmers who are indigenes of Ossissa community in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of the state were also killed.

According to Punch, six farmers who are indigenes of Ossissa community in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of the state were also killed.
It was gathered that the Okada rider, identified as Udoka Ossai, went to drop a passenger at Ossissa Junction along the Ughelli/Asaba Expressway when he was killed.
The farmers, who worked with Ugo Farm, were ambushed on their way home, it was learnt.
The killings reportedly occurred at about 6:30 pm.
The youths in the community were said to have taken the lifeless body of Ossai on a protest to the Ashaka Divisional Police Station, while some others went in search of the killers.
Sources claim it was a reprisal attack as the Fulani herdsmen were earlier attacked by suspected farmers, with whom they have been having a running battle with.
On Friday, May 12, the youths barricaded the Ughelli/Asaba Highway in protest lamenting that security agencies had refused to intervene in the killings by the herdsmen, the report said.
Confirming the incident, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Zanna Ibrahim, said three persons were killed
He said normalcy has returned to the area after officers were deployed there.
