EFCC freezes Governor’s Zenith accounts again

Gov Fayose has again claimed that the EFCC has frozen his two accounts with Zenith bank despite court ruling against such move.

This claim was reportedly made known by the Ekiti State governor on Saturday, February 4, 2017 in Ado Ekiti.

According to the governor's claims, his two accounts with the Ado-Ekiti branch of Zenith Bank has again been frozen by the anti-graft agency.

He said: “This is the impunity we are condemning. The bank and the EFCC got all the judgments of the court, but the agency still harassed the bank to act against the law.

“If I sent somebody with a cheque, they could give excuse but I was there myself and acts of impunity such as this cannot continue. We will challenge them,” he said.

Fayose claimed further that he was not allowed to withdraw on Friday, February 3, 2017 despite a court ruling directing the EFCC to unfreeze his accounts.
