EFCC recovers cash from Ikoyi home

Separate sums of $43 million, N23 million and £27,000 were recovered in the apartment on Wednesday April 12.

The Federal High Court in Lagos, on Thursday, April 13, ordered the temporary forfeiture of about $50 million recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from

Presiding judge, Justice Muslim Hassan further directed anyone interested in the funds to appear before him to show why the money should not be permanently forfeited to the Federal Government.

The case has been adjourned till May 5, for further hearing.

Meanwhile, former Managing Director at the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mrs Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue has denied reports that the money is hers.
