Adesina’s comments come following the release of 82 girls from Boko Haram captivity on Saturday, May 6.

The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, made the comments while speaking on Channels TV’s “Sunrise Daily.”

“When the first set came back in October last year, it was disclosed that it was a show of goodwill from their captors and a lot more would follow immediately, but some issues came up and over the months, those issues were resolved and that has led to the return of the 82 that we have now,” Adesina said.

Adesina also said that there’s no need to worry about the Boko Haram terrorists who were freed to secure the girls’ release.

Boko Haram had earlier released 21 girls in October 2016 following negotiations with the government.
