President confirms appointment of 2 Supreme Court justices

President Buhari has confirmed the appointment of two justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

This was contained in a statement by the spokesman the NJC, Soji Oye, Esq.

"The two justices will be sworn-in by the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of the National Judicial Council, Hon. Justice W. S. N. Onnoghen, CFR, on Monday 5th December 2016 at 2.00 pm in the Supreme Court of Nigeria," the statement read.

Meanwhile, Justice Sylvester Ngwuta of the Supreme Court on Monday appeared at a Federal High Court in Abuja over alleged money laundering and judicial misconduct.

Ngwuta appeared before Justice John Tsoho on a 16-count charge.
