Mohammed also said that Buhari is well, hale and hearty and is only completing medical tests in the United Kingdom.

The minister made the comments while speaking to State House correspondents after the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday, February 8.

“The President is well, hale and hearty. He is not in any way in danger. He is not ill and he is not in hospital,” he said.

Mohammed added that if Buhari was in danger, his ministers would not be going about their normal duties.

The president’s health has been the subject of controversy since he left the country in January for a 10-day medical vacation.

The situation escalated further after Buhari wrote the Senate seeking an indefinite extension of his leave.

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo had earlier also assured Nigerians that the president is doing well.
