The Nigerian military has denied reports that 150 villagers were killed in a Boko Haram attack in Yobe State.
Military denies reported death of 150 in Yobe
News reports had it that some of the victims were shot dead by the terrorists while the others drowned in an attempt to escape the attack which reportedly happened in Kukuwa-Gari.

In denying the report, Director of Defence Information, Colonel Rabe Abubakar, told Channels TV that it was completely false.
The attack in question was said to have occurred on Thursday, August 13, 2015, but was discovered on Tuesday due to the destruction of telecoms masts by the insurgents.
