Uwazuruike made the comment over the weekend at a special meeting of the Enugu West Senatorial District, in the Udi Local Government Area of the state, Vanguard reports.
“I am very happy that Biafra is being talked about all over the world and people are being killed and detained for the sake of Biafra,” the MASSOB leader, speaking through a representative, Mazi Chris Mocha, said.
“ACF had asked Allah to give them Boko Haram, he gave to them and they became comfortable with its outcome. Afenifere elders had Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, fighting for social justice in Yoruba land,” he added.
He reportedly also urged the members of the movementto remain steadfast and focused in the revolutionary struggle.
Pro-Biafra protests have been ongoing in the Eastern region for the past two weeks with the protesters gathering under the umbrella of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) and continuing agitations for the release of Radio Biafra boss, Nnamdi Kanu from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
A demonstration in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on November 10, 2015, resulted in the deaths of at least three people, an eyewitness told Pulse.
Kanu was arrested in Lagos in October and has reportedly been granted bail but is yet to be freed.
