Former House of Representatives member, Abike Dabiri-Erewa had taken the bank and Punch Newspapers to court over the reports.

Diamond Bank however apologized in today’s edition of the Punch saying that the inclusion of her name on the list was “erroneous and is deeply regretted” and this is what the former legislator had to say:
“Diamond bank apologizes to me in two newspapers. Agreed they erred. Well? If you were me what would you do # if I was Abike.”
Mrs Dabiri-Erewa has urged the court, in her suit, to grant her N500 million in damages from both defendants,
