The 2014 edition of the Lagos Fashion Design week kicked off yesterday evening, 29th October and it was everything we hoped for. From the street styles, casual chic styles, edgy ones and more everyone brought their A-Game.

Fast forward to the designers that showcased on day 1; April by Kunbi brought the house down with her sultry and dreamy pieces in pastel hues, the collection was stunning; she had flowy dresses, crop top and ball skirt, playing with tuile and laces, floral fabrics and more. Weizdhurm Franklyn did a lot of exaggerated sexy cuts, dresses with peplum details, shift dresses with graphic, the collection was delicate, feminine, sultry and chic all at the same time.

Sisiano was everything, this time there was no single piece that didn't catch the eye, it was Sisiano's collection that got people's undivided attention, I mean when the collection was presented, people almost were transfixed. The dresses, skirts featured delicate flattering drapes and cuts, he also played with floral fabrics that were just breathtaking, the best  have sen from  Sisiano.

Teola 1986 was amazing, her prints were detailed and bold, her dresses were flattering with sultry sheer details and sequin..Orente Ayaba got everyone in awe with her prints statement, Otumine was another collection laced with interesting drama with deep plunging neckline dresses with beaded details, bustier,flattering tailored pant and skirts Gozel Green did it futuristic style, Amede, Omilua, were all amazing

Fashion focus finalists, Titi Belo was amazing, her bright Aqua designs were stunning, Phunk Afrique, Samson Soboye, Etomi and more. It was a night of creativity and breathtaking unique fashion, Kudos to the Nigerian Designers, thumbs up to GTBank and Style House Files (Omoyemi Akerele's) it was a great first day outing. Oh and we can never forget for once, the show was prompt there was no African time! When they runway show started, the hall was half full and it started and people had to come in, thats discipline and we commend the organizers for keeping to time, we see LFDW going much more places.
