Known for his bridal pieces and couture prowess, Ade was exposed to Adire on one of his visits to Nigeria, which came as an inspiration and thus, the Adire Meets Modernity Spring/Summer 2014 Collection was birthed.
Ade said, 'I became interested in this rare textile and was intrigued by the way it was made. However, i felt it could be made in more luxurious fabrics which would endear it to more people and international appeal'
This saw the designer bringing in a lot of silk fabric from London to achieve his goal of using luxurious fabrics which are seen in the embellished blouse, sashes, bows, puff sleeves and more from the collection. The evening wears are stunning, who knew the Adire could be this glamorous? There are photos from the collection.
