Medical doctor, 3 others die from disease in Anambra

The doctor was said to have died at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi, on Tuesday, August 16.

 

The doctor was said to have died at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi, on Tuesday, August 16.

This was revealed during a one-day Lassa fever training workshop organised by the state Ministry of Health.

A medical practitioners at the workshop, Dr Jane Ezeonu confirmed his colleague's death, while the director of Public Health in the state, Dr Emmanuel Okafor, also said the three other victims died recently.

Ezeonu said the late doctor was referred to NAUTH from Asaba, Delta state.
