12th Sierra Leonean doctor contracts disease

Victor Willoughby, a senior physician, is the 12th Sierra Leonean doctor to contract the disease.

Another doctor in Sierra Leone has been infected with the Ebola virus, a senior health official has said.

Victor Willoughby, a senior physician, is the 12th Sierra Leonean doctor to contract the disease.

Willoughby’s diagnosis was confirmed by the country’s Chief Medical Officer, Brima Kargbo on Sunday, December 15.

Sierra Leone is currently facing the worst of the Ebola outbreak and has lost 10 doctors to the disease.

Meanwhile, junior doctors in the disease-ravaged country have embarked on a strike to demand better treatment for health workers who get infected with Ebola.
