The Borno state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has advised the Federal Government to continue with the ceasefire agreement with the Boko Haram.

Chairman of CAN Borno Chapter, Titus Pona gave the advice while speaking at the end of a three day fasting and prayer session for Christians in Maiduguri.
Rev. Pona said the government should continue with the agreement in spite of the recent attacks in some communities in the state, Daily Independent reports.
Pona said since the insurgents had expressed the desire for peace, government must take advantage of the offer by playing along.
