The war against terror in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria continues to heat up as an army raid on a Boko Haram hideout has resulted in massive casualties on the part of the terrorist sect.However, the army also suffered casualties of their own as 3 soldiers are said to have lost their lives in the operation which took place around the Delwa area of Borno state on Wednesday.

Soldiers in Borno state scored a victory against the terrorist sect after a raid left many insurgents dead
Details of the development were disclosed via a statement on the website of the Defence Headquarters. It read:
“The fierce fire fight that ensued as the troops waded through the ambush left scores of insurgents dead, while 3 soldiers died in action.
“Meanwhile, seven soldiers who sustained various degrees of injury have been evacuated for treatment, while the troops have continued with their mission”
The war against terrorism has been ongoing in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe since President Goodluck Jonathan declared a state of emergency in May 2013.
