Corpse of man who jumped into lagoon retrieved

A young man who committed suicide by jumping into the Lagos lagoon has been identified as Ezebu Joseph.

The body of a young man who committed suicide by jumping into the lagoon at the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, has been retrieved by fishermen.

Chris Kehinde Nwandu, the publisher of CKNNigeria, posted the picture of the deceased on his Facebook page later in the day.

The sad incident happened in the morning of Thursday, 29 January, 2015, where eyewitnesses said the well dressed man, whose name was discovered to be Ezebu Joseph from Imo State, going by an identification card found on him, caused a stir when he left his vehicle and casually walked to the railings of the bridge and within a twinkling of an eye, had plunged headlong into the sea.

The action was said to be so sudden that anyone who could have rescued him could not react on time.
