Dr Sid's wife becomes a publisher as she launches Schick Magazine

Simi Esiri has launched her own magazine called Schick.

The lawyer who is also the wife of Nigerian pop act Dr. Sid has released the first issue of Schick Magazine. Nollywood goddess Rita Dominic graces the cover.

The maiden edition is titled 'The Power Issue' and "celebrates African women playing pivotal roles in shaping the fashion, beauty and entertainment industries across the continent" reports Bella Naija. Schick will be distributed in Nigeria and in Africa.

"The aim of the publication is to bring a fresh voice that appeals to anyone who has any sort of interest in fashion, whether they are actively involved in the industry or not. Our purpose is to engage, inform and inspire people throughout the continent, in a way that’s relevant and palpable" further says the magazine's creative director Titi Adesanya.

Simi Esiri was the Deputy Editor of Complete Fashion. She started her career in fashion by writing for the website RubysView.com. It is claimed that she has also styled top international celebrities such as Alexandra Burke.

Dr Sid married Simi Esiri in 2014. They have a daughter together called Sidney.
