The police prosecutor told the court presided by Magistrate J. O. Adepoju that Edet had negotiated sex with the victim and they agreed on a payment of N40,000.

He allegedly took her to a dark corner on the road and when the lady told him to pay before they had sex, he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

After the act, he refused to pay her the agreed amount and tried to strangle her after which he stole her items.

The offences, according to the police, contravened Sections 260 and 286 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
