74-yr-old man with weak erection denies impregnating 13-yr-old girl

In his defense, the defendant claimed that he is almost impotent as he could not maintain an erection for long.

Opeyemi Adepoju, a 74-year-old man has denied a 13-year-old fish seller based on the claim that he has a weak erection.

The septuagenarian who was arraigned at the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja however admitted to having fun with the teenage girl.

A police prosecutor, Femi Adesumo gave a detailed account of the case in a court statement which reads:

“The case of defilement was reported to the office on the 25th of January, 2014, around 11:30hours.

“In the statement made by Adepoju, he said that he do have fun with the girl two to three times, thereby, having canal knowledge of the girl. She sells smoked fish and brings them for sale at the house.

“After the statement of Adepoju have been taken, he denied having carnal knowledge of the girl claiming he had weak erection and that he doubts if the girl was pregnant or was even a virgin.”

The teenager was discovered to be pregnant after a trip to the Ikeja General Hospital according to a Daily Post News report.

Sedoten Ogunsanya, who presided over the case has adjourned it till Thursday, June 8, 2017.
