Lagos House of Assembly says he was slapped by 'Danfo' driver

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly has once again showed he is a gentleman.

Hon. Mudashiru Obasa is a gentleman

The Honourable Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, is surely a gentleman as he showed when he recounted an encounter with a 'Danfo' (commercial bus), who gave him a hot slap in the Agege area of the state but could not retaliate.

Obasa who was telling the House why it is important for lawmakers to be disciplined and patient, gave the narration during the screening of nominees for the position of Commissioner for the cabinet of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

According to the Speaker, the 'Danfo' had hit his vehicle and he came down to address the bus driver but he got a slap for his effort.

“When the danfo driver slapped me, I could not retaliate. My spirit was moving me to slap him back, but I couldn’t because I am a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly.”
