Readers believe religion plays a key role in choosing a life partner

67% of Pulse Nigeria Poll voters believe that religion plays a key role in the choice of a life partner.

Headaches are triggered by lifestyle habits

A worried Pulse reader, Chidinma, a Christian, is in love with Ahmed, a Muslim, but despite assurances by him that he would not stop her from practicing her religion, her parents are against the marriage and would never give their blessings.

Read her letter here:

"My name is Chidinma. I am from Imo State but I was born and brought up in Kano State and I like to call myself a detribalised Nigerian because almost all my friends are from the North and I know the culture very well.

I am 29-years-old and I am in love with a man who is a Muslim but my parents have sworn that they will never give their blessing to a between us.

Ahmed is a very liberal man and he has promised that he would never stop me from continuing in my religion when we are married. His parents too are not opposed to his marrying a Christian but my father especially, would not even give the idea a second thought.

I love Ahmed with the whole of my heart and if my parents would not give us their blessings, I would prefer remaining a spinster rather than marry another man."

Based on her letter, we put up this poser for a vote by our esteemed readers:
